About SharePoint Press
SharePoint Press is a little bit different from other blogs. First of all I'll tell you right up front that I won't be writing every day, or even every week. This is primarily due to the nature of what will be written. Personally, I'm sick of the incomplete, inaccurate, poorly written crap that is posted on far too many blogs these days. My mantra has always been "Quality over Quantity". The content posted here will be either a quick snippet or a longer article that walks through a topic in much greater detail. The former is for quick things that I came across and don't want to forget. These will be in the "Notebook" section and will not include much supporting detail, but will be correct, tested and include enough supporting material to help establish context. The latter will be book-chapter type dissertations on a topic that go into much greater detail than a typical blog post. These will be in the "Articles" section.
Eventually, the pieces from the articles section will be collected, cleaned up and published as one or more e-books.
The last section on the blog, Ephemera, is a little bit more like a typical blog. For the most part, it contains announcements about new articles that have been published, but every once in a while some inane blog fodder may sneak it's way in there. I'll apologize up front for that. That nonsense really belongs on Twitter but sometimes it will find it's way in here.
The last thing that you'll notice about this blog is that comments are disabled. Our communities are fragmented enough, we don't need yet another place to look for content. If you have a question, post it to the official Microsoft forums:
You're much more likely to get an answer there as there are thousands of people on there.
